BA in Airport Customer Relations
Course Overview
The BA in Airport Customer Relations is a full honours degree of 36 months (with top-up routes for Higher Diploma holders) designed to produce graduates who can step into airport customer experience, PRM and complaint management analyst roles at UK operators. You will study terminal experience design, accessibility, complaint operations and the interface between customer relations and airport commercial teams, with a placement year at a UK airport operator. The syllabus is aligned with the frameworks of Airports Council International (ACI), the Institute of Customer Service (ICS) and the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
By graduation you will be a placement-experienced honours graduate ready to step into airport experience and customer relations analyst roles.
The BA is delivered across three years with a mix of theory, applied projects, an industry placement and a final-year dissertation. Placement students spend structured time inside a UK aviation employer producing evidence for a placement portfolio, and the final year delivers a substantial written dissertation that can be used to support Master apostrophes applications or graduate scheme interviews.
The final year focuses on independent research, an integrated leadership project and the dissertation. You will develop original research questions, engage with UK and international aviation research literature and produce a written dissertation that can support Master applications, graduate scheme interviews and internal promotion cases. Placement students bring genuine industry evidence into the dissertation to enrich its findings.
Delivery is available on-campus, online and by distance learning, with a mix of theory, applied projects, an industry placement supported by the LSAAM careers team and a final-year dissertation. Top-up routes for Higher Diploma and Advanced Diploma holders allow qualified applicants to enter directly at the appropriate year with credit.
