MSc in Quantitative Economics
Course Overview
The MSc in Quantitative Economics at LSLPE is a research-informed UK Level 7 Master's degree running one year full-time or two years part-time across on-campus, online and distance routes. The programme prepares senior-track economists to build and defend applied models under the same standards used inside the Government Economic Service, the Bank of England and City research desks. Every taught module is calibrated to the analytical expectations of the Royal Economic Society and the CFA Society UK, and the degree closes with a substantial dissertation, capstone or sponsor consulting project.
By graduation you will have coded and estimated structural and reduced-form models in R and Stata, delivered a full econometric analysis under peer review, written IFS-style working papers and Treasury-style policy notes, and defended a research project to a supervisor drawn from City research or Whitehall economist units.

Why Study at LSLPE
LSLPE is a specialist division of Harold International College of London that reads economics as an applied discipline in permanent conversation with law and politics. The MSc in Quantitative Economics is delivered in small, tutor-visible cohorts using the case-room and select-committee tradition, so results are argued and defended in public rather than accepted from a lecture.
Central London places the Bank of England, the Treasury, the City research houses, Chatham House and the leading think tanks within a short tube ride of every classroom. Online and distance students join the same weekly seminar structure with named programme-tutor support, so working practitioners complete the MSc in Quantitative Economics without leaving employment.
