Diploma in Law and Governance
Course Overview
The Diploma in Law and Governance is a UK Level 4 practitioner-foundation qualification running nine to twelve months, sitting deliberately at the point where legal drafting meets constitutional principle and public administration. Taught across LSLPE's on-campus, online and distance modes, the Diploma reads UK public law alongside comparative governance so that graduates can read a piece of primary legislation, a statutory instrument and a governance code as a single connected picture.
By the closing modules you will be drafting short governance opinions, working through case bundles on public-body decision-making, and defending a capstone brief on a live governance question in a seminar run in the select-committee tradition. The Diploma articulates cleanly into LSLPE's Advanced Diploma and Higher Diploma routes in law.

Why Study at LSLPE
The London School of Law, Politics and Economics is a specialist division of Harold International College of London teaching in small, tutor-visible cohorts that read law, politics and economics as three interlocking disciplines. Central London puts the Royal Courts of Justice, the Inns of Court, Whitehall and Parliament within a short tube journey, which matters for a Diploma that treats legislation and governance as living material rather than exam content.
All three study modes share the same weekly seminar structure with named programme-tutor support, and the LSLPE careers service refreshes curriculum alignment each year against SRA and CILEX-informed guidance.
