Diploma in Public Leadership
Course Overview
The Diploma in Public Leadership is a UK Level 4 practitioner-foundation qualification running 9 to 12 months. It gives working policy officers, team leaders and third-sector managers the practical toolkit of contemporary UK public leadership: strategy design, cabinet and board dynamics, public-financial-management essentials, crisis leadership and public-service ethics. The syllabus is aligned with Political Studies Association, Institute for Government and CIPFA leadership competencies.
By graduation you will have produced a service-level strategy for a chosen portfolio, run a crisis-response simulation, prepared a board or cabinet-style paper and defended it under structured questioning. The Diploma articulates directly into the LSLPE Higher Diploma in Public Leadership Studies and the BA in Public Leadership.
