Diploma in Legal Studies
Course Overview
The Diploma in Legal Studies at LSLPE is a UK Level 4 practitioner-foundation programme running 9 to 12 months across on-campus, online and distance routes. The syllabus gives a broad working grounding in the English legal system, covering sources of law, contract, tort, criminal law, public law and legal method, and is aligned with Bar Standards Board, Solicitors Regulation Authority and CILEX academic-stage expectations. This programme is a strong foundation for progression to the SQE or the Bar route.
By graduation you will have produced case briefs across contract, tort, crime and public law, drafted a mixed set of legal-argument exercises, and delivered a supervised advocacy exercise in seminar.

Why Study at LSLPE
LSLPE is a specialist division of Harold International College of London teaching in small, tutor-visible cohorts. Central London places the Royal Courts of Justice, the Inns of Court, the Supreme Court and the City's litigation firms within a short tube ride of every seminar room, which matters when the judgments you will study are handed down a few streets away.
Every intake, on-campus or remote, joins the same weekly seminar structure with named programme-tutor support. Seminars are run in the case-room tradition, evidence-led and argued in public, and the careers service connects students with employers across chambers, City firms and public-interest organisations.
