MA in Public Affairs
Course Overview
The MA in Public Affairs at LSLPE is a UK Level 7 postgraduate qualification running one year full-time or two years part-time on-campus, online or by distance learning. The programme combines advanced political-science teaching with practitioner-facing modules on government relations, lobbying regulation, campaigns and strategic communications, aligned with Political Studies Association, Chartered Institute of Public Relations and Institute for Government standards.
By graduation you will have written a full public-affairs strategy for a live client scenario, produced a stakeholder-engagement plan, drafted a campaigns brief for a Cabinet-adjacent policy question, prepared a regulator-facing communications piece, and completed a research-informed dissertation or sponsor-facing capstone.

Why Study at LSLPE
LSLPE is a specialist division of Harold International College of London reading law, politics and economics as three interlocking disciplines. Central London places Whitehall, Parliament, Chatham House and the LSE-adjacent public-affairs ecosystem within a short tube ride of every classroom.
Cohorts are small, tutor-visible and taught in the case-room and select-committee tradition. The LSLPE careers service runs at least one careers day each year and refreshes syllabus alignment annually against Political Studies Association guidance.
