Advanced Diploma in Tort Law
Course Overview
The Advanced Diploma in Tort Law at LSLPE is a Level 5 senior-track programme running 12 to 15 months on-campus, online or by distance learning. The syllabus works the whole spine of English tort law, from negligence through nuisance, occupiers' liability, product liability, defamation and vicarious liability, and is aligned with the technical competencies recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, CILEX and the Bar Standards Board. This programme is a strong foundation for progression to the SQE or the Bar route.
By graduation you will have drafted particulars of claim, prepared a settlement note, run a mock case-management conference, and produced a supervised project on a live tort file. You will be able to write to the standard expected in a claimant firm, an insurer's in-house team or a public authority defendant desk.

Why Study at LSLPE
LSLPE is a specialist division of Harold International College of London teaching in small, tutor-visible cohorts. Central London places the Royal Courts of Justice, the Inns of Court, City claims firms and defendant chambers within a short tube ride of every seminar room, which matters when your case sources are decided a few streets away.
Every intake, on-campus or remote, joins the same weekly seminar structure with named programme-tutor support. Seminars are run in the case-room tradition, evidence-led and argued in public, and the careers service connects students with employers across chambers, City firms and specialist insurers.
