Course Overview
The Diploma in Legal Ethics at LSLPE is a UK Level 4 practitioner foundation running 9 to 12 months across on-campus, online and distance routes. The programme takes the working codes of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), the Bar Standards Board (BSB), CILEX and The Law Society of England and Wales, and reads them alongside classical ethical theory, professional-conduct case law and live disciplinary decisions.
By graduation you will be drafting conflict-of-interest analyses, writing short professional-conduct case notes, producing compliance briefs, running mock disciplinary hearings, and completing a supervised portfolio project addressing an ethical question in current UK practice.

Entry Requirements
- A Level 3 qualification (A-levels, BTEC, Access to HE) or equivalent, OR a relevant Certificate at LSLPE.
- GCSE English at grade 4/C and Mathematics at grade 4/C or equivalent.
- IELTS 5.5 overall (no band below 5.5) for non-native English speakers, or equivalent.
- A personal statement outlining your progression aims in legal ethics or compliance.
- Applicants with paralegal, compliance or research experience are encouraged to reference it at application.
