Diploma in Private Law
Course Overview
The Diploma in Private Law is a 9 to 12 month UK Level 4 practitioner foundation programme covering the core private law of England and Wales. Students study contract, tort, property, equity and trusts and consumer protection, and learn to read leading authorities as living instruments in commercial and personal disputes. The syllabus is aligned with SRA foundations of legal knowledge and CILEX practitioner routes.
By graduation you will have drafted contract clauses and tort particulars, produced case notes on leading judgments, prepared advice to a client on a consumer dispute, and completed a Level 4 Diploma dissertation on a private law question.

Entry Requirements
- A Level 3 qualification (A-levels, BTEC, Access to HE) or equivalent, OR a relevant LSLPE Certificate.
- GCSE English at grade 4/C and Mathematics at grade 4/C or equivalent.
- IELTS 5.5 overall (no band below 5.5) for non-native English speakers, or equivalent.
- A personal statement outlining your progression aims for the Diploma in Private Law.
