MSc in Tourism Leadership and Governance
Course Overview
The MSc in Tourism Leadership and Governance is a research-informed executive Master's programme running twelve to eighteen months that prepares senior tourism leaders for board, non-executive and corporate governance practice across UK and international organisations. The curriculum is aligned with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), BCS, Tourism Society and ABTA references, so students engage with the executive leadership and governance vocabulary used across London airline distribution executive teams, tour operator boards and consultancy houses. The programme sits inside LSTITM's Travel Systems and Global Tourism department and includes a substantial research dissertation on a chosen tourism leadership and governance question.
By graduation you will lead executive tourism leadership decisions, own corporate governance portfolios, coordinate senior board cycles and produce publishable research on a chosen leadership question. You will leave with a research dissertation, executive-quality leadership case studies and evidence of senior board engagement that London tourism executive teams recognise. The programme also develops disciplined executive governance, evidence-based decision habits and research-informed leadership skills expected of Master's-level tourism leaders.
