BA in Event Management
Course Overview
The BA in Event Management is a UK Level 6 honours degree running three years full-time, with part-time and accelerated routes available inside the LSCAHM Hospitality Management department. The programme is aligned with Association of Event Organisers (AEO) competencies, Meeting Professionals International (MPI) UK and Ireland guidance and Institute of Hospitality frameworks, and includes a structured year-two placement with a UK event operator, venue or agency.
By graduation you can lead the planning cycle of a live event from brief to debrief, own a budget, negotiate with venues and suppliers, run on-site production, and close with a final-year capstone or dissertation suitable for event coordinator, project manager and account manager shortlists across the UK live events sector.
Assessment blends live event briefs, production portfolios, on-site delivery reports and a final-year dissertation or capstone. Placement is co-managed by the LSCAHM careers service alongside your named tutor.

Why Study at LSCAHM
LSCAHM is a specialist division of Harold International College of London teaching in small, tutor-visible cohorts with named programme-tutor support. The school reads events alongside hospitality, tourism, culinary arts and food business, which is exactly the lens a live-event manager needs when a single conference is also a hotel booking, a catering brief, a delegate journey and a sponsor activation.
Central London places conference centres, luxury hotel groups, event agencies, the Institute of Hospitality and AEO within a short tube ride of every classroom, and kitchen practicals and live service shifts run through every year.
Every intake, on-campus or remote, joins the same weekly seminar structure with named programme-tutor support, and LSCAHM refreshes the events curriculum annually against Institute of Hospitality, UKHospitality, AEO and MPI UK and Ireland guidance.
