Course Overview
The Diploma in Kitchen Management is a UK Level 4 practitioner-foundation qualification running 9 to 12 months across on-campus, online and distance routes. It is aligned with Craft Guild of Chefs, City & Guilds and Institute of Hospitality kitchen-supervision practice, and is the natural step up for commis and demi chefs moving toward chef de partie and junior kitchen manager responsibility.
By graduation you can run a section under pressure, hand over shifts in writing, control cost of sales at the section level, brief junior chefs and hold food safety standards to UK Food Standards Agency guidance.

Entry Requirements
- A Level 3 qualification (A-levels, BTEC, Access to HE) or equivalent, OR a relevant Certificate at LSCAHM.
- GCSE English at grade 4/C and Mathematics at grade 4/C or equivalent.
- IELTS 5.5 overall (no band below 5.5) for non-native English speakers, or equivalent.
- A personal statement outlining your kitchen progression aims.
