BA in Hospitality Entrepreneurship
Course Overview
The BA in Hospitality Entrepreneurship is a three-year honours degree delivered by LSHRM. It develops the venture, product and commercial skills needed to launch or scale a hospitality business, from boutique hotel concepts to serviced apartments, dark kitchens, guest experience platforms and hospitality supply firms. The programme is aligned with Institute of Hospitality, UKHospitality, CMI and CIM references.
By graduation you will have completed a placement inside a hospitality venture and defended a capstone business plan for a new hospitality product or property concept, with commercial, operational and marketing detail.
The three-year syllabus walks you through venture leadership in hospitality, from concept development and unit economics to funding, launch and post-launch performance. Year three centres on a defended capstone business plan, with an integrated placement year giving hands-on exposure to a live hospitality venture or founder team.
Modules across the Hospitality Entrepreneurship programme are delivered in short weekly units with practical activities anchored to real hotel workflows, and every intake sits within a wider LSHRM cohort that combines learners from London, the UK regions and international markets. Tutor contact hours are protected across each week, with dedicated office-hour slots and asynchronous forum support so that Hospitality Entrepreneurship learners never lose momentum between modules.
On completion, Hospitality Entrepreneurship learners can progress into the LSHRM MSc, moving from full honours undergraduate standard into executive postgraduate territory without repeating material. Every Hospitality Entrepreneurship student is also supported by the LSHRM alumni network, which gathers hospitality professionals from London hotel groups, resort operators and hospitality technology firms across the UK and further afield.
