MSc in Catering and Food Service Management
Course Overview
The MSc in Catering and Food Service Management is a UK Level 7 research-informed senior practice degree running one year full-time or two years part-time on-campus, online or by distance learning, sitting inside the LSCAHM Tourism, Events and Food Business department. The programme is aligned with UKHospitality catering-sector guidance, Institute of Hospitality management competencies and Hospitality Professionals Association (HOSPA) finance and operations benchmarks used across UK contract catering, education, healthcare and workplace food service.
By graduation you can lead multi-site catering operations, model unit economics and menu cycles at scale, defend a sustainability and supply-chain strategy to a board, and complete a substantial dissertation, capstone or sponsor consulting project for a UK catering group, contract caterer or food-service operator.
Assessment blends sponsor consulting reports, procurement and sustainability strategy portfolios, board-level presentations and a substantial dissertation. Named supervisors are allocated at offer and support you across all three study modes.

Why Study at LSCAHM
LSCAHM is a specialist division of Harold International College of London teaching catering and food-service management in small, tutor-visible cohorts. A catering operation is simultaneously a kitchen, a supply chain, a client contract and a public-health responsibility, and LSCAHM reads these as interlocking disciplines.
Central London places contract caterers, food-service groups, UKHospitality and the Institute of Hospitality within a short tube ride of every classroom, and every dissertation is supervised by a practising operator or senior consultant.
Every intake, on-campus or remote, joins the same weekly seminar structure with named programme-tutor support, and LSCAHM refreshes the catering and food service curriculum annually against UKHospitality, HOSPA and Institute of Hospitality guidance.
