BA in Tourism Experience Economy
Course Overview
The BA in Tourism Experience Economy is a full LSTITM honours degree delivered over 36 months, with top-up routes for holders of a Higher Diploma. Sitting within the Tourism Business, Marketing and Operations department, the degree is aligned with references from CIM, the Tourism Society, ITT and UKHospitality, and focuses on the business models and management practices underpinning the modern experience economy.
By graduation you will be able to shape experience-economy programmes across attractions, tour operators and DMCs, run pricing and revenue strategy at graduate level, and step into first-management roles across experience-led tourism brands. You will also complete a supervised undergraduate dissertation and a placement portfolio that together demonstrate applied research alongside real workplace evidence.
Placements sit at the heart of the degree, and cover attraction, DMC and tour operator contexts so undergraduates see the experience economy from multiple angles. Graduates leave with a portfolio of pricing, product and CX artefacts they can carry into interview and reuse in their first graduate role.

Why Study at LSTITM
LSTITM is the specialist tourism division of Harold International College of London. Every LSTITM route is aligned with recognised UK bodies including the Tourism Society, ITT, ABTA, CIM and UKHospitality, giving graduates industry-referenced study behind them.
Curriculum is written by former experience-economy directors, brand leads and consultants, and delivered across on-campus, online and distance-learning routes so international candidates and career changers can access a full honours degree.
Experience-economy BA students on the LSTITM route benefit from a rotating panel of brand and CX leaders who bring live campaigns and product launches into the classroom for structured discussion. This applied contact makes LSTITM graduates able to contribute quickly to real-brand conversations in their first graduate role, which is what recruiters at London experience-led operators say they hire for. Alumni-in-residence sessions extend the support, pairing current undergraduates with recent BA graduates now working as experience-economy managers at London attractions, DMCs and destination brands.
