BA in Tourism Integrated Systems
Course Overview
The BA in Tourism Integrated Systems is a full LSTITM honours degree delivered over 36 months, with top-up routes for holders of a Higher Diploma. Sitting within the Tourism Business, Marketing and Operations department, the degree is aligned with references from CIM, the Tourism Society, ITT and the Institute of Data and Marketing (IDM), and focuses on the integration between marketing, product, operations and analytics systems.
By graduation you will be able to lead integrated systems programmes across tourism organisations, brief senior sponsors on integration trade-offs, and step into first-management roles at operators, OTAs, tourism boards and consultancies. You will also complete a supervised undergraduate dissertation and a placement portfolio that demonstrates applied research capability alongside real integrated-systems delivery evidence.
Placements cover operator, OTA and consultancy contexts, so undergraduates encounter integration challenges from all three of the perspectives they will most likely face in their careers. Graduates leave with a portfolio of integrated-systems artefacts including architecture sketches, SoWs, delivery plans and benefit maps, that they can present at interview and reuse from their first graduate assignment.

Optional elective modules cover CRM and lifecycle systems, booking-platform architecture and content operations, allowing undergraduates to shape their final year around the systems specialism most likely to define their career. Why Study at LSTITM
LSTITM is Harold International College of London's specialist tourism division. Every LSTITM programme is aligned with recognised UK bodies including the Tourism Society, ITT, ABTA, CIM, BCS and UKHospitality.
Curriculum is written by former integration directors, systems leads and consultants, and delivered across on-campus, online and distance-learning routes so international students and career changers can access a full honours degree.
Integrated-systems BA students on the LSTITM route benefit from a rotating vendor-and-integrator panel where real proposals and delivery plans are dissected in structured discussion. This applied grounding is what makes graduates able to evaluate vendor offers critically in their first graduate assignment and gives them a distinctive edge at systems-focused recruitment. Alumni-in-residence sessions add a further peer-perspective layer, connecting current undergraduates with recent BA graduates now working as integrated-systems managers at London OTAs, tour operator digital groups and travel-technology vendors.
