MSc in Tourism Management
Course Overview
The MSc in Tourism Management is a research-informed executive Master's programme running twelve to eighteen months that prepares senior tourism managers for consultancy, corporate development and board-level tourism practice. The curriculum is aligned with the Tourism Society, Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Institute of Travel and Tourism (ITT) and UKHospitality references, so students engage with the executive tourism vocabulary and governance frameworks used across London tour operators, DMOs, tourism boards and consultancy houses. The programme sits inside LSTITM's Tourism and Destination Management department and includes a substantial research dissertation on a chosen tourism management question.
By graduation you will lead executive tourism management decisions, own corporate development portfolios, coordinate senior stakeholder cycles at board level and produce publishable research on a tourism management question. You will leave with a research dissertation, a portfolio of executive-quality case studies and evidence of senior board engagement that London tourism executive teams recognise. The programme also develops disciplined executive governance, evidence-based decision habits and research-informed leadership skills expected of Master's-level tourism managers.
