MSc in Tourism Customer Experience Management
Course Overview
The MSc in Tourism Customer Experience Management is a research-informed 12 to 18-month LSTITM postgraduate route for senior tourism practitioners moving into executive customer-experience leadership. Sitting within the Tourism and Destination Management department, the MSc is aligned with references from CIM, the Tourism Society, ITT and the Institute of Hospitality, and is built around applied theory, a dissertation and executive practice modules.
By graduation you will be able to lead enterprise CX portfolios, sponsor CX operating-model reform, brief C-suite audiences on evidence-based improvement, and advise boards on customer-experience strategy at investor-grade level. You will also complete a supervised research-informed dissertation on a tourism CX question that contributes to practice, defended in an oral examination with a panel of practitioner supervisors.
The MSc positions candidates for the transition from senior operator to executive contributor. Executive practice modules focus on chairing craft, board-paper writing, negotiation and non-executive engagement, giving candidates the professional vocabulary needed to be taken seriously at C-suite level. Dissertation supervisors are current or former executives who set expectations at investor grade.

Why Study at LSTITM
LSTITM is Harold International College of London's specialist tourism division, delivering destination, business, systems and strategic tourism study at postgraduate level. Every LSTITM programme is aligned with recognised UK bodies including the Tourism Society, ITT, ABTA, CIM and the Institute of Hospitality.
MSc students are taught by former CX executives, dissertation supervisors and consultancy partners, and every route is supported by LSTITM's careers service with senior introductions across UK tourism boards, consultancies and destination-marketing partners.
CX Master's candidates on the LSTITM route benefit from a small-cohort model that supports genuine peer relationships and dissertation-panel access with senior CX executives. This combination of academic rigour and practitioner review produces graduates who are ready to lead executive CX conversations rather than participate in them, which is what most senior tourism organisations require. Alumni-in-residence sessions extend the network further, connecting current MSc candidates with recent graduates who now lead enterprise CX portfolios at UK national tourism boards, chain tour operators and destination brands.
